It is obvious that ex-offenders have barriers to employment that others do not have. Having violated society’s trust, potential employers logically wonder whether they are trustworthy or require excessive supervision. The Job Coach helps ex-offenders address this concern head-on by developing the ability to clearly articulate trust in specific prior settings. The goal is to turn out a more articulate job applicant. In the Job Coach experience, past productivity is also directly addressed as well as the articulation of skills in the context of the job that they seek.
